There are lots of ways to do a EMCOMM Box...you may consider getting your hands on some equip before you buy the box (I bought box before I had radios-had a hard time making it work, and if I had waited, there may have been some better options?) YMMV I figure I'll just get the largest box I can, and start wiring it. I need to learn more before I start buying equipment. |
| Have you checked Sportman's Warehouse? I saw them there at one time. I have not looked lately. Not sure what part of CO you are in but you could try Gander mountain. There is one in Denver. I try to avoid it. I spend too much every time I go on there. Gotta make it worth the drive dontcha know. |

did you just volunteer for the Pick-a-Patch job? i was considering it. but i just found out about the last guy who had the task: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sisyphus In Greek mythology Sisyphus was a king punished by being compelled to roll an immense boulder up a hill, only to watch it roll back down, and to repeat this throughout eternity. the additional element of ARFCOM bureaucracy is depicted below... ar-jedi

Besides Pelican and that monstrocity orange thing some others use, check http://www.seahorsecases.com/ Seahorse makes a great product. I've shipped thousands of them around the world as part of a kit I worked on. They won't stand up like a Pelican case, but they are more than adequate for the average ham. |
