For the recent Field Day, do you add these contacts to your regular log or are they a separate "contest" log?

I used the N3FJP Field Day log, but then after Field Day was over, I imported them to the Amateur Contact log.

So they are in "BOTH".

That's what I thought.  I'm using N3FJP as well.  Thanks for confirming, Kekoa.

I also just networked Amateur Contact log for my desktop in the shack and notebook when I'm back yard portable.  Now I don't have to export and import ADIF files to synch the two computer's logs.  Pretty slick, IMHO.

Old school +1. N1MM for contesting (rare for me), DXKeeper for the main log.

I should do this.  I have a cheap laptop that I only use as backup for things like Amateur Contact log.  But, I've been downloading the files from my ham shack computer to a thumb drive, and then uploading them to the laptop.

Thanks for the idea.   Think I'll watch that video.

EDIT:  Three minutes into that video and I'm already lost.    Think I'll stick to the thumb drive.

Always back up before sync. Ask me how I know. I sync field day and it corrupted my log. Luckily a week later I backed up 3 months before and didn't remember it. Found the back up . Then I found my note book with 50 or so contacts that where not on the backup . I operated outside on the deck and log on paper.

Interesting, I use dxkeeper and every contact is logged in my main log.  Which is then synced with qrz & lotw.  When in a contest or special event I setup log for the event I am working.   Just curious why you dont put the contest in your main log?

Hey Prosise,
I use N3FJP Amateur Contact Log for my main log.  N3FJP has a lot of Contest Logs already configured for the specific event.

I'm using cqrlog for things here and tend to just lazily put everything in the main log and just export submissions when needed.
