Collected one of these from Lowes the other day - I walk the dog each morning and night and it is getting dark outside!!
For about $30 it certainly kicks out a lot more light than my SureFire LED Flashlights, obviously the reflector is significantly larger. Rated at 114 lumans for 11 hours. I like it! |

Bought a couple of both when on sale last Christmas. Tj I keep a 3 cell in the truck. Doubles as an impact weapon if necessary. I have maybe a dozen Surefires in various bags etc. but there's just something about a big-ass Maglite D cell light that's comforting.

The LED Maglites have been discussed here several times. I've probably got five or six of 'em all told (2D, 3D), and have been very happy with all of them. Battery life is outstanding, and I actually prefer the light quality over incandescent/xenon/whatever. Keep you eye out for the sales at Lowe's... seems they regularly go on sale for $12-15.
