I was at Menards today to buy Shoe Goo to repair my boots. Turns out they have an assortment of camping type gear (Coleman mostly) along with many $1 seed envelopes and canning supplies.
They had some cast iron cookware as well. Prices on the camping gear seemed about on par with the same items at Walmart. Couldn't tell you if the canning supplies were a bargain or not as I don't buy that kind of stuff and don't recall the prices. The Shoe Goo was $2.97 I think. |

Menards is the country boy's Walmart. Can't wait for the new one in town to open! we have a newer version that is bigger and better than the original one. that building is still vacant. There is a Lowes, a Home Depot, and a Menards all within a mile of each other in our village of 20,000. For whatever reason i prefer Menards. Last Christmas on Black Friday they had 2 pound summer sausages for $3. I bought like 15. I love summer sausage. I should have bought more. I appreciate that they often have camping, fishing, and hunting gear; even though at present I do not engage in any of those activities. |
