Somehow my truck reversed polarity on it's battery and smoked my FT2800M mobile radio. It happened after I rewired the power leads. I'm sure it is my truck's fault.
I'm getting ready to dig into it but could not find a diagram. Google does not cooperate with me today. Any ideas where to find one?

Found D301 Surge suppressor diode bad. $0.52 plus shipping on Newark (P6KE18A). It;s right at the power input and shorted in both directions. Hopefully that's all I need. I'll try to power up without it.

Sorry, been working.  Just saw this.

I have a FT-2800M service manual here on my computer.  IM me.

It works.
I guess the TVS Diode did it's job. Well....Kind of did it. It should be able to blow the fuse without blowing itself. O well.
