Bought some O2 absorbers from Sorbent Systems, and they sent some plastic packets with what feels like crystals inside. No instructions. Do I just place these in with the rice I am storing or do I have to open them? If they absorb through the plastic envelope
do I have to use them all right away? Won't they just absorb to saturation point from the air? Appreciate some answers from those who have dealt with this. Thanks. |

they should all be in a air tight plastic package right now. as soon as u open them u got to start using them. the ones u dont use need to be put in a canning jar for later. u will put one or more in each thing of rice or whatever ur putting up. then seal ur bucket or mylar bag. if u look up food storage on u tube there is one guy doing it on there. i always get the bags shut almost all the way and the air out the best i can before i hope the 02's then i work pretty fast to get them all in and sealed up. dont open the 02s they work just the way they are when they come out of the package. hope this helps some
