My daughter (10 yo) decided she would like to get her technician so we can chat on the radio while I'm at work or when we are out hunting. She's totally ready (she read the lord of the rings trilogy last year and can quote most of it if you prompt her with the right questions).
Anyway, new to the north KC area so if there is a club around that would be great. If you have study materials laying around I'd love to take them off your hands paypal or what ever shoot me a PM we'll talk. Thanks, KL1M_ |

KL1M,
I'm not in the KC area, and do not have any study materials laying around to send you, but I would suggest downloading the test software from Shenandoah software... Shenandoah Software This is what I used to take practice tests and I thought it was awesome because it keeps track of the ones you have difficulty with and starts giving those ones to you more often... I checked out the ARRL study guides from the local library, read them and then started taking practice tests (using the book as a reference to look up the info I missed) until I could consistently pass... Good luck! Josh KB3VQQ |

There's another thread going on right now about study materials. Take a look at this:

| If she likes paper, print out the No-Nonsense Study Guide.. It's a nice study guide. You can download it to a Kindle or Nook, too. |

Also note my later posts about the test question pools changing every four years, and why purchasing older guides is not a good idea. All she needs is in my post. |
