Hey guys, Just passed my tech this morning, looking at picking up a VX-8DR for my first radio, any thoughts of that HT? looking forward to talking to some of you on the air sometime soon!

OP, I'm taking my test next weekend but I already picked up a VX-8DR. Heck of a nice radio with really good build quality. As I can't really use it yet I have no idea about the transmitter but the receiver works very well.
