I have both the RS-92 and CHIRRP softwares for programming this radio.
The IC-92 I want to load the SAR banks as an emergency backup, I will be using my Type 90 radio for my primary radio.
I am sort of stumped though, I am used to "normal" software like the Kenwood and other public safety programming errr...programs. Right now I am trying to use the RS-92, as I might as well learn the "official" tool.
Here is a sample of various types of input on my code plug:

Here is a screen shot of the input portion of the software:

This looks absolutely different than any other programming software I've seen. What goes where? Hell, I don't even see different spots to put the Tx versus Rx freqs! I got that banks ~= zones, and channel numbers of course, but I have no idea how to specify narrow/wide, digital tones, normal tones, etc.
Thanks for everyone's help ARFCOM!

doh, apparently ARFCOM doesn't like excel copy/paste.

Well this is a conundrum for me. Can't figure this out - I can do it on other radios/softwares so easily - this one is just complicated.

All programs are a little different from chirp to comander to the manufacturer.

It looks like you tell it the rx freq, then if you want simplex or duplex from there it will look in the offset column. For tone you tell it pl or digital and what tones you want.

Best way to learn it os back up your radio and play around

What is the question you have ? I have the 92AD myself and have no problems with programming it without the software, or with it.

Remember, you can only program a DSTAR digital mode in BAND-B. You are showing a highlighted section for BAND-A right now.

Not trying to do anything with DSTAR at this point.

Trying to program VHF with seperate Tx and Rx freqs, with thier own seperate PL code (Rx PL 107.2, Tx PL 162.2) or mixed analog/digital PL Codes (RX PL

114.8, TX PL

243N). Public Safety Freqs.

I am using the RT systems programmer. Mine shows receive/transmit freq separately so I cant help you much I'm guessing.

Mine just updated itself too which means I have not used it in quite a while.
