If you are using JT Alert, is there a way to see messages that are sent to you after the pop-up disappears?

I cant find a log file that has anything.
They aren't in the same db file as the QSO log.
Do they just disappear? Not cached?

Hey Macro,
I saw this not long after you first posted it and was interested because I had the same question.  Not much documentation on JTAlert I could find except for the HELP "?" in the title bar.  Unfortunately, TUTORIALS, SETTINGS, and FAQ are still "UNDER CONSTRUCTION".

Regarding the text message feature, this is what I found:

Text Messages :
Send a short (128 character max) text message to another JTAlert user.

Activate by mouse right-click on a decoded callsign, replying to a text message or use the hotkey (F5 default).

·This is not real-time. Three checks per minute are made, at 5, 20 and 35 seconds past the start of the current minute.

·This is not a chat feature as a maximum of three messages will be received per minute.

·Messages are sent blind, there is no attempt to confirm a successful delivery.

·The recipient station may not be using JTAlert or may have messages turned off.

·If 2 or more users send a text message to the same Callsign, and there exists an uncollected message, only the newest message will be retrieved by the target Callsign. An existing message, waiting to be delivered, will be overwritten by the newer message.

Suggested Uses..

·Thanking for QSO, New State, DXCC etc.

·Advising their Clock is off.

·Advising their auto-spotting on wrong band.

·Advising another station is QRMing their signal.

·Requesting a Band Change.

I hope someone else chimes in with any other info about this.  It's a pretty handy feature for short messages.  Good Luck!

Now, that's pretty cool. Never even knew it existed.

Thanks!

Hey Big Daddy - if I figured it out I'll let you know. My guess is that it might be cached somewhere...just haven't found it in any of the flat files yet.
I'd be surprised if the data wasn't somewhere in there...just need to dig I suppose.
