I need to stock up on rechargeable batteries and a charger.   Where's the best place to get them?

Maha or LaCrosse Chargers are great, and do yourself a favor and get the low self discharge batteries like Eneloop, Powerex or Rayovac Hybrids

(assuming you're talking AA/AAA type batteries)

Z-Battery, BatteryJunction, Thompson Distributing have worked well for me in the past.

If you're a member of Candlepowerforums, they usually have a persistent 5 or 10% discount code listed in the forums

as for batteries, if you are using them within a few days of charging, I like the high capacity sonys. For everything else, eneloop all the way. Not quite as much capacity as the sonys but the eneloops have really low self discharge rates which is a huge perk. I have about 30 of the eneloop AA batteries in my preps and they are great. I can run flashlights, radio, walkie talkies and even motion detectors all with the little AA eneloops and then charge them right back up with a small solar charger.

As for ordering, just shop amazon for price but make sure you are getting real eneloops and not cheap knockoffs. Do a search for eneloop and you will see all the details on real vs. knockoffs.
