I need a recommendation on a Remote Battery/Solar Camera that I can get notifications from and access on my phone.

I have a piece of remote property that has LTE/5G coverage that I want to monitor from ~100 miles away. I want to monitor the comings and goings from the front gate.

Thank You.

I have 2 at my cabin for about a year & a half. A Reveal Tactacam x-pro. Very happy with it. it sends a photo within a few min. of being triggered. I also have a ZTGOJ from Amazon, that the Hunting Farmer spotlighted on his you tube channel. They don't offer it any more. The IZEEKER on Amazon looks like the same thing.$100.00 has a $25.00 coupon right now. The plan is through Ubox. I like it a lot. sends a live feed when triggered & saves a video of it, or you can just log in to & get a live feed. Can scan up/down, left /right, zoom. & talk to who every is there. or set off an audible alarm. It looks like a Reolink.

Eufy has one that has great reviews.

I have the wi-fi-only version and it works great.

Even with the very long rainy days with no sun here in Seattle it never dropped below 92% charge.  Image is very good, both the daylight and night vision.   It even detects the rabbits and neighbors' cats roaming my backyard during the night.

I have had a stealth cam for about 3 years now.  With the solar it's been OK. It has the option to send a test Pic at a set time once a day. But I recently got a pair of Moultrie Edge 2 cameras.  Those have the option to take a picture or video on demand which is pretty cool.

I have 25+ non-cell cameras.  One camera will never catch everything.  Out of 5 covering the same area,  you'll be lucky to capture 75% of the activity. 1-2 will have some battery or card issue.   1 will have something setting it off, like a blowing leaf, so much it won't catch anything else.  1 will fall down, squirrel, bear, dogs, people, or a random tree branch will knock it down.  1 of 5 will catch something the others miss.  It's never the same one.

I've had brand new energizer, Duracell and Sam's club members mark batteries leak.  I've had the seals go bad and the inside collect enough moisture they either stop working or only take foggy pics.

I'm not trying to talk you out of it, quite the opposite.  Just saying you need more than 1.  I have some amazing pictures of our place and the activity around from the last 10 years.  Makes all the batteries, cameras, cards, external drives and time worth every penny.

Cell cameras,  with the limited picture transmissions, need to be in low general traffic areas. Like not on a 4-wheeler trail or near a road or some place where it might pick up a lawnmower or farm tractor 100 times in an hour.

Rechargeable lithium batteries are worth the investment.  So are good cards.  I use sandisk ultras exclusively now.  I have a pile of other cards I have had fail far too many times to bother using.
A firearm is like a parachute, if you need one but don't have one, you'll probably never need one again. IG @jimstagramguns
