David,

I just finished Lights Out and I must say I loved it.  You kept me reading from the edge of my seat for four days.  I can't wait for you to finish Lost and Found as I am going to try and hold off untill it's complete.

I must confess I usually find myself to busy and don't read much but when I do I like to sit down and read till I finish.  I have had several slow days and you made it very easy to stay glued to my computer screen reading Lights Out.

If your counting I would also like to get a hardback copy of Lights Out so get it published....

better yet, since I have already read it think screen play.

Jeff

A movie based on Lights Out would be horrible. There's no way you could cover the entire plot in a single film, much less all the subplots. As an ongoing series, possibly.
If you want to be treated decently while visiting France, remember to bring the panzers.

Why the **** do I have to press 1 for english?!

Contrary to popular Hollywood belie, I can follow a movie with multiple plot lines...

A series would be fine with me.  If Jerico does well enough I am sure they will be some studios looking for more TEOTWAWKI showes.

I would even meet you half way and go for a mini series.

I need Chapter 7!  The lead character is way over due for a shootout, so the next chapter should be very good.  The suspense is driving me crazy!

Awesome read!  I am hooked and waiting for more!  Thanks for taking the time to write and post this.

BTW, I noticed that when you first introduced the character of Gabe, you have the spelling on his last name "Horn."  However, when Gabe goes to deliver his produce to the woman, the spelling of his last name is, "Horne."

Thanks for all the compliments on this story and "Lights Out".  I hope to post chapter 7 very soon.

David

PS - "Horne" is correct.  I didn't catch the error until I had already posted the first few chapters.  Good eye.

ETA - Here it is.  I hope you like it.  Sorry it took so long.  All I can is that Writer's Block is a stone cold bitch.

Probably not.  Then I'd have spend my time fixing it instead of writing.

Thanks for all of the positive feedback guys.  However, don't hesitate to be critical if you see something that could be better.  I promise, it won't hurt my feelings.

Great Chapter, we that DJ isn't all uber-tactical, just a regular guy with a few more preps.

Rain would have been much better for his crossing - less chance of other people being out and about, and more cover for reconning the bridge PRIOR to his crossing.

'The Inner Rambo' says when he turned off the road and the truck went by, he should have shut down and set up his own ambush.  I'm looking forward to seeing how DJ resolves the problem.

They likely saw his brake lights when he made the turn and just couldn't slow down fast enough to make the turn themselves, then had to get the truck turned around, etc. His best bet would have either been to keep going and cross the bridge anyway, or get off the quad and start shooting as soon as they came after him.
The existence of flamethrowers is proof that someone, somewhere, said to himself, "I want to set those people over there on fire, but I don't feel like walking over there to do it."

His rear lights are covered with duct tape....
From Chapter 1.

He came back down and with the aid of the flashlight he found a roll of duct tape. He pulled off two pieces that he placed over the taillights on the four-wheeler. A little slip up like having a red light showing could ruin his day, he thought.

I agree. One of the grea tthings about Halffast's writings, is that he gives you enough info to get your brain going, but leaves things just open enough for you to come up with a couple of alternative solutions. Invaluable mental exercises if you ask me.
