I had a chance to get out a few days over the holiday, the hunting was pretty good. I don't usually take pics of coyotes anymore but a co-worker wanted a few, so I thought I'd share.
Rifle is a Remington 700 BDL .17Rem, shooting 30gr Bergers. No exit holes. I may get out later in a couple more weeks for a few more, I'm waiting to see what the market is going to do, I have about a dozen put up so far. The cool thing for me this year was i called in at least one coyote to the gun on my first 5 stands of the year. That's never happened to me before... I also killed the biggest coyote I've ever seen, almost 60lbs, it's pretty obvios above which one he is.... |

Wow they get big up there in the north! What was the market like last year for coyote pelts up there? Here in AZ coyote pelts are near worthless, with a few exceptions. Not much last year, around $15. Looks like the market may be taking a turn for the better though... I got a quote over the phone at $40 for grade A heavies, we'll see. |
