I’m seeing a lot of breweries in my area offering spent grain for sale as stock food.  At $50ish for a 55 gallon drum it’s a lot cheaper than corn or apples.

The internet has given mixed reviews on using this, I’m curious if anyone here has used this with any success.

No clue but I'd be worried about keeping the moisture out of it so it doesn't start to rot/ferment.  I know the corn we spilled during harvest season made that area smell jussssssst wonderful in the Summer.  Bonus was drunk racoons though.   Those guys were pretty entertaining and REALLY easy to trap.

I bet it could be turned into awesome hog bait. They love stinky grain

Buddy gets a trailer load about 3 times a week from local brewery.

He feeds it to his hogs.

I dump mine in the pasture after I’m done brewing. The cows dig through it a bitt, but don’t really love it. Sometimes wild hogs come looking…

I’ve tried it and it just sat, nothing ate it. There aren’t any nutrients left in spent grains.
