I am curious how people are storing their bulk foods, I understand certain products come in sealed bags and tin cans.  I am talking about when you buy a sack of sugar, or sack or rice.  What are you guys using to keep moisture and other things out?

Thanks
Robert

I usually put mine in #10 cans.  Several of us in the neighborhood have been getting together and borrowing a can sealer from the LDS Church.  Before that I've used five or six gallon buckets with oxygen absorbers.  The next time I do buckets though I'm using mylar bags inside of them.

It sounds like what you are talking about is actually sealing them up for long term, which what you mention sounds great.  I was talking about buying a quanity of someting like flour that I am in and out of all of the time for making bread. I just kinda figured a food grade bucket, but getting the lid off can be a pain.  I was curious what people were using.

Thanks

Half gallon mason jars work well for things like rice, flour and oatmeal.
