So I m sitting here drinking coffee and taking a couple practice tests before I drive 2 hours to take my Tech and General tests... I have been studying hard for a couple weeks now and have been missing about 5 or less on the practice tests on AA9PWs website... Man... the anticipation is killing me.. Wish me luck...... WP 73 |

Do what I did.
Go into the test with the idea that you want to do it solely to get over the "test jitters." Helped a lot. In fact, every time I tested I did this, even when testing for Extra. This was back when the 20 wpm test was required. I passed it! Good luck to you! |

Well I have decided in the 857D... Now I am going to need some power, feed line and an antenna of some sort... Any low cost suggestions to get me started? I like my 857Ds. I suggest a Samlex SEC-1235M, plenty of juice and you get meters...I like meters. If you want some wire for a dipole or OCF let me know how much you want and I will send it for shipping cost only. |

Woot... Got my call sign... MK4OZX Awesome, congratulations. I passed my Tech on Saturday and have been checking daily, but so far no dice. Hopefully before the weekend as I'm planning to take the General exam (wasn't ready last week) and I'd like to have the call before then. Again, nice work! |
