As posted in another thread, a few of us yocals are looking to add some digipeaters into our AO. It is completely devoid of Digipeaters for APRS and we aim to change that.
We're going to place 3 digipeaters into the county. North, Central, and South to offer coverage. The three of us have all purchased the TinyTrak4 and are now ready to pull our hair out. I'm slow, I'll admit it...but trying to config this thing is making me nuts. There are so many variables/tabs, etc... help? I found this thread in a Vast google search, and it shows that some of you have owned the TT4 and may have some config ideas? http://www.ar15.com/archive/topic.html?b=10&f=22&t=650855 This site is as close as I've found for a config setup: http://www.aprs.net.au/configuration/tinytrak4 but it seems that the new firmware mine shipped with is different (Alpha?) Me = WinXP, TT4, TM-261 Thx |

It has been a very long time since I configured mine, but I seem to remember that all I did was google "Tiny track", and follow another user's instructions. Not very helpful ; I realize. That's what I'm hoping to find. did locate This but it appears to be the 'legacy' software firmware |
| I have a TinyTrak4 setup as a Digipeater and would be glad to answer any questions you might have. Before we discuss the digipeater settings, have you been able to configure it for standard APRS beaconing with your callsign? I assume you have the proper cables to connect the TT4 to your radio? |

Thanks! (Big Thanks!!) I purchased the Cables from Byon so I'm good there USB/Serial adapter, Serial w/Power Poles for rig). I did download all the software from the site yesterday, and even got the win-config running...then the mass of tabs completely tossed me for a loop -It was near lunch time and I had kids going nuts so I put it all back in the shack and hope to begin to tackle this weekend. I'll IM you my email if that would be easier? Thanks! |

I figure we can get it sorted out via email, and once you're successfully up and running, I can post the instructions here in case others might find the information of value. Unfortunately, I have to head into the office, but when I get home this afternoon I'll start taking some screenshots of my setup and guide you through the process of getting the digipeater going. |
