I want to get into turkey hunting and eventually go out with my father in law who occasionally guides for turkey hunts in oregon.
He has a Kicks Gobblin thunder on his winchester SX3 and says its the cats meow. What's the word on these?
I was going to get a 12g one for a benelli supernova. I am also planning on getting a carlsons extended turkey choke for my fiance's 20g moss 500 (almost half the cost of the Kicks)
anyone use either of these chokes?

I use the Gobblin Thunder in my Benelli SBE II..shooting 3.5" #4 Federal Flight Controls putting 8 pellets in the head at 70 yds..this choke also does wonders for recoil control. I also use the kicks high flyer modified for waterfowl..well worth the $

I've used the Remington "Ventilator" with good results on my 870 Express Super  Magnum

Use one in my Remington 12 gauge 1187 3 1/2" SuperMag.

I also have one(high flyer) for duck/goose.

Often the choke that comes with the gun will perform very well.

As with any thing else, some just like to get a "little more" out of what they have.

Recommend patterning your gun, seeing what/how it shoots, then make decision if need to "Upgrade".

You might find someone close to you that has a "choke tube" for you to try/borrow to see if it makes a difference in your gun.

Also remember try different loads and brands.
