I looked around, but couldn't find a thread in this forum regarding weather disaster SHTF stuff.  I know there are tons of comments in various SHTF threads, but I was wondering if there was an official "story" thread for weather related SHTF.  If not, anyone here besides me think we should start one?

there is always nat/weather disaster threads...

now by story are you asking what people went thru?

Ive been through about every cane that has hit fla since the 1970;s. Ive been surrounded by wild fire, stuck at sea in a floudering boat for 18 hours in one hell of a storm, ive had to weather out a night under a poncho in near hurricane weather on backpacking trips, ive almost fell out due to heat related issues during 3 seperate deep summer hikes( temps all over 100F)

mother nature kinda hates me i think...

but if your looking for what went down and how they are here.

in 04; i lost about 65% of what i owned in a few hours time.

lost both cars/truck, and house. I then got stuck having to work 14+ hour days 6 days a week on recovery/repair efforts for my job, with out power for 14 days.......that mean trying to move etc after work, in the nasty heat.

it sucked..sucked balls.it was hot, humid and nasty. you get used to cold water showers.

my guns, ammo, fancy nylon, and all the other bs didnt make it any easier. Being calm, supportive of my wife and her of me and having the sense to have our basics laid in place prior to the hurricanes made it a cake walk.

thats my story....sorry no looters, or shoot outs....though i did have to chase away a neighbor when i started grilling up steaks as they defrosted from the frezzer

the other events were all short term wtf mother nature why now events..not worth going into except for story telling....

If you would stay in the bunker and post more about preparing and post about kirfu love etc; rather than be outside, then some of these unpleasantries could be avoided.
