Although I mostly use the 43 foot vertical, I still have the IC 718 hooked to the end fed wire antenna that I put up.
It seems to tune differently.
IIRC it started off as 119 feet.
Could it have stretched and changed resonance?

material of said wire?
Wire can stretch if placed under enough load.
I wouldn't think it would be able to stretch enough to change the tune by much.

More likely related to any frozen water issues you may be having in your area. Snow, ice, and sleeping trees affect antenna resonance. Heck after a hard rain, I have to retune the W3EDP.

Is your antenna made from copper wire or from something like Copperweld (copper-clad steel wire)?
The former is more likely to stretch than the latter.

Could be anything, but when my wire antennas change it's usually due to ground moisture.

Regular copper wire can stretch fairly easily.
My tuner settings vary depending on ground moisture.

Copper wire stretches a lot. I've seen 90ft antennas stretch more than a foot in the summer.
