| hey guys im having trouble with some feral cats. the only two weapons of choice right now are a .177 rifle and a .177 Co2 pellet pistol. what can i do to lure them close enough for a 20- 30yd shot. |
| i dont have any problems with mice. my neighbor shoots them in his yard or his dogs get em. i dont poison animals when they eat the tuna w/antifreeze they can die anywhere and i dont want that. other animals might try to eat the carcasses and then it will spread. the problem with the cats is they go in my trash and throw it all over the yard. they also go up to my back door(sliding glass door)and try to fight my cats. |

The feral cats that I shoot around my house I call with lip squeaks or - get this - I just say "here kitty kitty" and meow a lot. They come in, they go down. Works every time. I started with a .177 pneumatic airgun, but found that not all head shots were fatal, so I went to a classic: .22 CB shorts. Same report, more killing power. |
Live traps with cat food, and a gun on me at all times got rid of them. I am not limited to a pellet gun though.
