Do you guys use flint type fire starter or just use bic lighters?

I like lighters, waterproof matches, storm matches and then magnesium. I prefer to start a fire with fire starter sticks or cotton balls soaked in vasoline. Nasty but boy do they start  fire.

I carry a couple of Bic lighters, some matches and blastmatch. Keep them all in separate pockets and one on your person.

Flint/Steel, Bic, Waterproof strike anywheres, Flare.

All of the above, basically.

Lighter is the quick and easy way, but depending on what you are lighting, may not work great.
Storm proof matches come next--reliable but not terribly long burning and limited in quantity.
Ferro-rod rounds out the kit--lasts a LOT longer than a lighter or 25 matches, but requires better tinder to catch.

Dryer lint, hand sanitizer (this is probably easier than Vasoline) and Vasoline.

Sawdust, wax and paper egg cartons.

Bic lighters, weather proof matches, matches, Ferro rods, carbon scrapers, magnesium shavings, impregnated kindling block.

All of the above and whatever stuff I can learn from you guys here.

you can get a single petroleum jelly cotton ball in about 3 1/2" of plastic straw... cuts down on the mess

Ferrocerium rod all the way.  AKA "flint" (on steroids) or fire steel.
Natural tinder is not hard to find in my AO.  Birch bark and pine twigs are plentiful.
That's not to say I don't always have at least a lighter in my GHB or PSK but a ferro rod is always on my person.

I like alcohol wipes for field expedient man made fire starters as they serve a dual purpose...
Duct tape, jute twine, cotton with petroleum jelly, TP all work well and have multiple uses IMO.

Alcohol wipe is my favorite man made.  (birch bark is my favorite natural starter.)

I just made this video messing around and practicing some video editing but I think it applies to this thread:

I practice with a ferro rod, but for all practical purposes I keep a Bic in my pocket, if that one fails I grab the extra out of my pack.

You can work a lot harder making tinder that will accept a spark, or just make a feather stick and go at it with the Bic. You can get thousands of lights out of one lighter.

This is true.  In a situation where I need fire now I will be reaching for my Bic.

Lighter, regular matches, waterproof matches, firesteel.

I keep tinder and hand sanitizer for starting.

I started my children practising fire starting with a steel so I have to practice what I preach so sticking with that for a while. Normally use a lighter and have an old military match case with strike anywhere matches...man those things are getting hard to find.

And the quality is suspect.  I bought a bunch of Diamond brand lg/sm from a gun show 12-13 years back and half of them break, lol.

I go to ChinaMart and buy the 5-6 packs of Bic lighters for $4 and stash them in various places.
