I'm thinking about putting a 4x scope on my S&W 15-22 but am kind of lost in the sauce.  I'm shooting for a decent sub-$100 scope if one exists.  I've been using a Bushnell TRS-25 RDS on it but I'd like to try out some magnification.  Considering I only shoot it within 100m I think 4x is plenty (Please let me know if I'm wrong!) Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, thanks for the help!!

Many here will tell you that sub-$100 won't do shit.  I've used the below optic with pretty good success.  Just searching "4x scope" on amazon will get you many well-reviewed optics.

I'll check out some of the reviews.  I think $100 is a realistic budget for a cheap optic to go on a non go to war .22lr.  My biggest concern is that I get something that holds zero.  Any complaints at all about the sniper one you own??

I have a Nikon 4x Rimfire that I really like on a Savage MK II . The rifle was set up for CMP .22 matches which are fired at 25 and 50 yards
I've found 4x isn't enough scope for small targets at 100 yards. So i'm looking for something in the 4-5-6 to 16x range.
