My Short little PSR. This is it wearing 308 clothes. Right now it is a 243. The 338 and 300 Win barrels are unchanged. I have since added a 30 inch 308 barrel when I want to shoot a 308 out to/past 1,000.
Since getting it I bet I have about 2,500 rounds through it between all the calibers. Dragging it all over the countryside it has a few dings and scratches. Looks better if you ask me. Had it out to 1700+ yards late summer. Took a few shots to get on a 18x24 target with the 243, but once I realized we were over 12,000 DA and had to hold about 18-20 MPH wind, it was on. The next time we go up there I am going to screw on the 338 Lapua barrel and see how the Berger 250s compare to the 300s at a mile. Here is the link to the NRA American Warrior Magazine article with awesome photography by legendary Michael Ives. http://viewer.zmags.com/publication/20b822a7#/20b822a7/30

I sent it off to PacNor to be rebarreled and trued and have the bolt fluted. .260 Ackley Improved 26" Super match PacNor barrel 1-8.5" twist Trued 700 Action with Spiral fluted bolt. And of course an Accuracy International AX chassis in green. I'm still waiting on glass but I should have that on by the beginning of the month. |

The Military does not pay *that* well... Being able to shoot 308, 300 WM and 338 lapua out of the same gun is a huge plus as is the quick change barrels. Not 17k worth of nice though. |

Didn't figure you dropped $17K on it. Maybe if it included a nice Nightforce and thermals it would be worth $17k. |

I think I was number 15 or so on the pre order list, and the list included all the SA colors and the LA chassis. I just got really lucky with the timing. But I didn't get mine until September. So I waited sixth months for mine. I guess there was some confusion on when they where going to originally ship from AI and took a bit longer then expected. I'm not sure how long they take now, but I wouldn't hesitate to give Euro Optic or Mile High a call and ask them how many they are getting in. Euro Optic was great throughout the order for me. |
I got lucky with my 2014 pale brown AX, I logged into MidwayUSA on 11/4 (my birthday) and they had it in stock and about 15% off for some reason, promptly ordered it. ![]() Same thing with the Nightforce 8-32x, I logged in and they had it on sale out the door for $1525, brand spanking new.

It's either a condor or voodoo - can't remember. Its definitely easier to carry around than my pelican 1750 it sat in before the chassis. |

Where did you order the 2014 AX Stock and price???...I'm thinking about buying one too Originally Posted By monsonman:

| I just bought me a AX stock 2014. On the back of the stock there is a takeoff hand stop. I seen on the web somewhere, where a guy had a monopod that looked as if it where made for it perfectly. Looked like the hand stop but a little longer, but not by much. Monopod came straight down, did not fold up. Just like the Barrett 50 BMG monopod, and etc... Does anyone know where, or what I am referring to here? Information would be very appreciated. |
