A member here suggested Applied Ballistics but some users reported that it was more complicated than Strelok. Im only shooting out to 600 yards and will be using old stock of CBC 77 gr, AAC 77 gr OTM and AAC 75 gr. It really sucks that I lost the Strelok app as I had just finished inputting info and was getting used to the app. I don’t have a Kestrel or any other type of high-speed long range gear. I just have my trusty Sig Kilo RF (older model). Any info would be greatly appreciated. |

I've also gotten excellent results from JBM Ballistics https://www.jbmballistics.com/cgi-bin/jbmtraj-5.1.cgi It has the Litz bullet library. There's also a more complicated version with spin drift and coriolis for guys shooting into the next county. There's no mobile app AFAIK. If I'm using it, I cut tables and print them. |

Have it, love it. Didn't know VPN was route to get anew if my phone breaks. Isn't there a way you can transfer the files to your PC and back install on new? As to the alternatives, do they have the reticle library's? That overlay feature in Strelok is the Deal Maker for me - I use that.  Plus many other user features that make it great in a field setting. Like Target List for known range multi distant targets all at once, etc. And then overlay all the targets on one reticle image. Do the others do that? On my reloads, I pluck that image and put it on my load label:

What happens now is State is forcing people to download a Russian app from a Chinese sourced site, and force it on their phones; with none of the security checks and anti-malware components inherent to the Google Store. This is better.

@urbankaos04 I realize this is an old thread and you certainly moved on....but I just got a new phone and Strelok didn't copy over with the data transfer (Android). I was determined to not lose Strelok so spent the past hour+ working on it, and successfully extracted the apk from my Pixel 6, copied over and installed on Pixel 9. Since I found this thread I decided it would be worth updating just in case anyone else runs into this. This was on Pixel devices running Android 15, YMMV for anything else. You will need to allow unknown source installs. 1. Old phone, install app 'Skit - apps manager'. 2. Open Skit, go to Apps page and search for Strelok. 3. Select Strelok, which should take you into a sub-menu showing the app details. In the bottom right corner is a floating gear icon, click that icon then select Extract. NOTE this will say you need to select a folder location in settings and will walk you through that. If you prefer before you search for Strelok in step 2 go to the Skit settings page > Apps > Folder (under Extraction). I set my folder to Downloads. 4. Use a file manager (built-in Files) to confirm the 'Strelok Pro (version).apks' file. My file was Strelok Pro (6.9.2(.apks 5. Copy this file to your new phone. There are multiple ways so I won't cover that. 6. Install the same SKit app on the new phone. 7. Open Skit, go to Tools page and select Split APK Installer. 8. In the file explorer select the .apks file you copied over. 9. On Android 15 the app will prompt as needing permission to perform the install. Allow the app to install unknown apps, once the permission is allowed it should automatically run the install. 10. That should be it! Strelok should now be functional, go import your rifles. This process worked for me so I felt it was worth sharing since I know many folks here like Strelok, and I didn't find much on obtaining the .apk other than sketchy sites. My .apk was originally from the Play Store years ago before sanctions so I trusted performing the extract / install. |
