Bronze or nylon bore brush?

What are you guys using? I’ve read a couple of different places that nylon is recommended versus any metal brushes.

I've been using bronze.

Been using bronze looped ended brushes for many years and no issues. The only time you might have an issue is if using a very aggressive copper solvent and even then it will just eat away the brush and give you a false positive for copper in the barrel. Won't hurt anything.

Thanks guys. I’ve got a Dewey bronze brush I’ve been using and as I posted, I’d read a couple of places to use nylon. I’ll stick with it.

For 99% of my stuff, bronze.

Only time I switch to nylon is if I'm cleaning the copper out of the barrel.

No brushes, ever. Patches should be sufficient if you're using the right solvents.
