My . RPR .243 came in yesterday,still have to pick it up. Is the rail not centered with the barrel? No price gouging either 1,098 out the door

That's a common issue with the Samson handguards. There just isn't enough bearing surface on the barrel nut to keep a long handguard centered. SLR redesigned their mounting system because of a similar issue.
You can realign it but it will just shift again over time. The best fix is to replace it. |

There are several other choices out there. I'm personally torn between the SLR and the Midwest Industries. I have one of each and like them both a lot. Both are rock solid. MI:
