16” MARS-H .308 Stock internals, i usually swap to a G trigger but the factory LMT 2 stage is adequate for my needs Troy buis Larue 30mm CAN mount Pst gen 2 3-15, just installed today and I’m impressed so far DA keymo MB sandman S Previous to the can and optic I was getting just under MOA with a 168 hornady handload, I have some 168 and 178 eld-m to test and curious if the can will affect accuracy. Here is my reach out and touch someone rifle. Bought as a $799 2nd Gen .308 RPR from CDNN. I rebarreled it with a new take-off 6.5 C barrel then added a Timney trigger, Magpul stock and grip. Scope is a Vortex Viper PST II 5-25. I've shot it out to 1,200 yds. It's a great shooter. Attached File Attached File |

I have a shorty 13.9" Grendel I use for Run n Gun and other events where I may not want to lug around a MWS but still higher BC out of a small-frame. I couldn't justify a separate upper so I instead went down the route of having a barrel fitted to work with the MRP system.

Started some load development on my 223 Ackley AR-15. Despite what the internet thinks, Ackley cartridges and their 40' shoulders will feed out a semi auto... Book max for a regular 223 with CFE223 and 55 gn bullets is 27.8 gns. So I started around there for my 223 AI. I finally called it good at 31.0 gns. Even at 31 grains of powder I still didnt have any pressure signs. The powder came up to the base of the neck and that is about where the base of the bullet is. With mixed headstamp brass and el cheapo Hornady 55 FMJBT bullets, they are going about 3,400 fps out of an 18 inch barrel. This barrel is either a Bartlien or Kreiger 8 twist with a Geissele Mk18 rail. The suppressor is a Thunderbeast Dominus-SR. The scope is a Schmidt & Bender 1-8. Below is 5 shots at 400 yards just holding center of mass. After I get a solid zero, I doubt it will see a bipod again. I am only planning to shoot it off different obstacles at DMR type matches.     |
