I must living under a rock. Just found and purchased a Magpul AICS magazine. Fits my Manners Mini Chassis perfect. $30. Am I missing something? I realize it is not an AI that came with the stock, but will do as a range mag. Also carrying extra rounds for a quick reload.
Anyone have good experience with these mags? 77 |

Where did you find them for $30? My mistake. I bought a bunch of stuff at one time...$34.99. Sportsman Warehouse. In my home town. I am sorry for the mis guided post. I bought ammo, more PMags for my 7.62 and some cleaning stuff. I cycled them with some .308 snap caps, seems to work good. A little snug in my Manners Mini Chassis, which I believe is made by Badger. But there are some YouTube videos on this issue and I will look at them tonight. Regardless may be a good solution for a quality mag for back up loading into the rifle. I am a big fan of Magpul... 77 |

i bought one recently too..alot less hard on brass i paid about 42 for mine i think, midway has them on sale for 39 i'd like to know where you see them for that price too What size are you guys getting? 5 or 10 round? The one I purchased is a 5 round. Now that I know it works, going back to get one or two more. May opt for a 10 round as a back up. Looking on the internet you can cut the tab on the follower and get another round. Not good for hunting, but this rifle of mine is not set for hunting. 77 Update...pulled firing pin tonight and cycled rounds through the rifle, loaded to 5 rounds, no issues. Did this with various ammo, BH 168, Remington 150, FGMM 168, Winchester 150 |

Thanks for posting this! I was planning on picking a couple up when I came across them. Glad to hear they are good to go. Please note, my comments are based on my shop bench analysis. I am going to the range sometime this weekend to try the mags out under live fire, will report back then. 77 |

Just tried the Magpul mag I recently bought from Midway for use in my 6.5 Creedmoor. My rifle has Badger bottom metal in it and the mag will not lock into the mag well. It looks like the feed lips are just a hair higher than the AI mag that came with the rifle. It's very close but it's a no go in my rifle. Disappointing for sure.

| I can only report my own experiences. I have a Savage 10 6.5 Creedmoor sitting in an MDT LSS-XL Chassis. I originally was using two different Magpul AICS 5 rd magazines. With box I was experiencing failure to feed issues. I thought it might be the mags or something wrong with the receiver, so I borrowed a buddy's OEM steel AICS mags and had zero issues, fed fast and flawless. So my two cents, the extra money for the steel mags might be worth it, because there is nothing worse than a bolt action rifle that jams up mid cycle or simply doesn't actually feed the follow up round, meaning brass checking every shot (which is a total pain in the ass and very slow). |
