Thanks Google that shit man, c'mon. There's tons and tons and tons of info spelling out exactly what you're asking about. "Mk 12 Mod 1 parts list" "Mk 12 Mod 1 scope" Those two searches will get you all the info you need and then some. |

Thanks Yea, google would have gave you the answer. But Ill point you in a direction. Under the AR-15 section is a 200+ page thread on MK12 mod A-z. Google is your friend. Scott |

Just for future reference type what you are looking for in google followed by ar15.com and it will pull up all threads on this website. AR15.com is a wealth of knowledge just surf around and you will find the information you need. ![]() This is the method that I use. A LOT. Probably too much. |

Pretty much anything you need to know about it is somewhere in this giant thread.
Edit: already recommended, should have scrolled a bit first. |

The MK 12 Mod 1
The mod 1 might be hard to duplicate now the handguard were form Knight no longer made........if you can find them.......expensive. Mod 0 used PRI gen 3 Carbon 12".......black ........very nice. Douglas Air guaged barrel......Compass lake......should have the MK 12 Douglas barrels make sure the gas port is .102" suggest keep it as close to possible to the real MK 12 use Colt upper and lower.......suggest the Colt M4 upper with M4 feedramps Giessel Triiger SSA-E (orginally had Knight 2 stage but we had a discharge in a veh.....and switched to SSA-E triggers Stock usually was fixed A2 or LMT SOPMOD Carbine stock with H buffer Scope I have the leupold TS-20......2.5x8 with Iluminated Ret. and 77gr BDC Knobs ARMS 22 Med QR rings for Mod 0 for Mod 1 use High Rings Knight swan rail.......no longer made for Mod 0........PRI has duplicate copy of it. ARMS sights front and rear PRI charging handle gas buster OPS INC muzzle brake with collar for Can......very nice ARMS Bipod Adapter for Harris Bipod Heavier bullets like Sierra 77gr with 24.5 of TAC with Winchester Small Rifle Primer in LC or WC brass is my favorite You might find it easier to build the MK12 Mod 0.........the handguards and sights from PRI still avaiable. My MK 12 is the Mod 0 |

99% accurate , very good.
If we really want to be OG the bipod that was first used was versa pod with skii feet, the harris was used later because it was lighter and not made in China. ARMS has a lot of those things as mentioned, don't forget the arms throw lever scope mount , but as far as the upper is concerned both bravocompany and pri have the uppers ready to go, they run about 1,500. Someone here may or may not have the original prototype of the mk12 before it was called mk12...... |

Douglas Air guaged barrel......Compass lake......should have the MK 12 Douglas barrels make sure the gas port is .102" suggest keep it as close to possible to the real MK 12 - Barrels are subjective. As long as it is the right contour, profiled for the OPS INC 12th Model/AEM5 suppressor hardware and is rifle length, you're good. use Colt upper and lower.......suggest the Colt M4 upper with M4 feedramps - Uppers and lowers are subjective. It doesn't have to be Colt. Giessel Triiger SSA-E (orginally had Knight 2 stage but we had a discharge in a veh.....and switched to SSA-E triggers - I'd say SSA-E only because it feels better. Stock usually was fixed A2 or LMT SOPMOD Carbine stock with H buffer - Fixed A1 stock, NOT A2. Some in special groups had M4 stocks (to include SOPMOD stocks) Scope I have the leupold TS-20......2.5x8 with Iluminated Ret. and 77gr BDC Knobs - The scope that was sent out was the TS30A2. It's basically a Leupold Mk4 MRT 2.5-8x36mm M2 turret knobs with an illuminated Tactical Milling Reticle (TMR). Another "correct" scope is the NightForce 2.5-10x24mm, but it sucks. Leopold Mk4 LR/T 3.5-10x40 is also a scope that has been used, but mostly on Mod 0s.ARMS 22 Med QR rings for Mod 0 for Mod 1 use High Rings Knight swan rail.......no longer made for Mod 0........PRI has duplicate copy of it. "Knight" swan rail? ![]() ARMS sights front and rear - (Mod 0- ARMS rear sights (integrated with the SWAN rail. PRI front sight. Mod 1 has Knights front and rear sights PRI charging handle gas buster OPS INC muzzle brake with collar for Can......very nice ARMS Bipod Adapter for Harris Bipod Heavier bullets like Sierra 77gr with 24.5 of TAC with Winchester Small Rifle Primer in LC or WC brass is my favorite You might find it easier to build the MK12 Mod 0.........the handguards and sights from PRI still avaiable. Someone here may or may not have the original prototype of the mk12 before it was called mk12...... A small number of folks, less than 20, do have original "SPR" uppers. These were the first batches build around 2000/2001 after testing, so not necessarily prototypes but the first ones actively used. But they did aparently predate the official Mk12 designation. An equally small number have rifles built using FSBs pulled from other original SPR uppers where the rest of the upper wasn't servicable enough to be re-sold. These were combined with separately sourced PRI handguards and ARMS sleeves. A few oddballs include at least 1 or 2 seen on this very site using 2nd Gen handguards that were made with 1st Gen handguard tubes. A few like mine are original FSBs mated to 2nd Gen handguards and ARMS sleeves. |
