Coming up on a bragging rights challenge between some friends, though I would do this.
500-1000, every 100yds taking 3 shots.
Each hit is worth 1 point
Tightest group per target is worth 2 points...a 3 shot 6" group beats a 2 shot 2" shot group, cause 3 shots need to be on the target.
Each miss is minus 2 points

3x6=18...each hit
2x6=12...tightest group
You can earn a max of 30 points, then less your missed shots, highest points wins.

Trying to figure out something to do with 2 more rounds as a mulligan to finish off a box of 20rnds ??
Edit:
Maybe if you have a miss you can use a mulligan, but has to be used at that yardage at that time, you can't come back you can only go forward.
If you get finished with 19 rounds and had a miss at 600, then too bad, shoulda used the mulligan then instead of waiting.

2 Ping pong balls at 150 yards worth 5 points each.

If you're both using Semi-autos, you should add some speed into the mix.

Put 3-5 clay pigeons out per person at distance. First person to bust them all wins.

Add a helium filled balloon attached to a stick or target frame at 600 yards.

my most recent fun game has been using my pistol shooting tree at 400 and beyond.

we also setup steel at varying distances and play horse. (add shooting positions to make more difficult.)

clay pigeon's like stated above are fun.

another fun one which is laboring is taking out a 15-20 old milk or water jugs filled with water and set them up at varying unknown distances. then we setup our rifles/mats and do a 50yd jog to the guns and get at them. no range finders just shoot from the hip or mil the jugs (as fast paced as it goes its more like send a round and re-correct off the impact lol. I know it's not precision but still fun. we do those mostly 500yds and beyond. kind of like a easter egg hunt with rifles.

only my cousin and I. trying to get my little brother in the game.

If you have a buddy to shoot with, Battle Ship is lots of fun.

Yeah, I think Birchwood Casey makes some. You can find them pretty easy with a google search. Local shop here sells them.

You really need 200-300 yards though to make it challenging with a precision rifle.

At 100 it's a lot of fun with a .22lr, at 25 with a pistol, etc...

A favorite of mine...
Me and a couple buddies get together. We pick our own rifles. We start out at 100 yards. A round 4" steel target. Each shoots. IF everyone hits, move target back 50 yards. .... IF anyone misses, you have to take a shot of whiskey.
After each "round"... target moves back 50 yards. Repeat.
We quit when we all miss, or we are all so drunk we can't move the target back any further.
Wags
This does many things.
a) it's great bragging rights
b) we get to shoot a lot
c) we get hammered
d) makes us better shots while drinking

EDITED for those that don't get sarcasm
then we all drive home as fast as we can without seatbelts... at night... without our lights on

Poker...

Say you have 5 shooters. Shuffle deck. Divide all cards between the 5 shooters. And staple the cards face up for each shooter. They get 5 shots to make the best hand they can out of the cards they've been given.

Wager whatever

Can make it fun by making people trade ammo if using same calibers lol

Hold over drill for time. One round on each going up in range and one round on each coming back. Throw in a mag change if you want.

You can play horse as well. One guy starts and chooses a shot. Say kneeling at 500. If he hits next guy has to match it or get a letter. If first guy misses and the second guy hits first guy gets a letter. Both hit its a tie and the second man chooses the shot. Fun way to practice weird positions.

A group of bull riders let a non bull rider take a ride as the guy was a loudmouth ass. He of course got stepped on, went into shock and nearly bled out internally.  They all felt bad, for a minute or two anyway.

I like the paper dart board games, or pool ball games on paper targets.
