Savage are great because you can DIY for most items. I just don't get how swapping out parts makes it a "custom" rifle, but that's just me. If that's the case, almost every firearm I own is a "custom." Well, please enlighten us on what IS custom, Sunshine. Honestly. What is it with negative people & their negative statements? Do you want to compare building skill? I'll win, trust me! What ever happened to "if you have nothing nice to say, DON'T SAY ANYTHING!" BTW: "custom" (Made specially for individual customers. IE., "custom shoes") This is one of the dffinitions. |

Thats cool. What does it weigh, OP? Thanks. Ummm, "HEAVY" lbs.! Lol! Honestly, I have not put it on a scale. But it's a chunk a rifle I'll tell ya. Deff. not a light weight by any stretch of the word. I wasn't thinking light when I decided on it. The AR is still my favorite rifle. Unfortunately, when my left arm/hand was paralyzed in the accident, I was no longer able to effectively operate the AR-15. Now can I still shoot one? Of course! But it's awkward. So I switched to bolt action, and the AR15 has passed to my son. |

You really should've gone with a longer barrel Awesome job. I had a Savage 10 in an XLR chassis many moons ago. Thing was a laser. Did you use any Flitz or JB polish on your trigger or just hit it with a Dremel? I am a .260 fanatic. I will argue that the 6.5's render a vast majority of other calibers moot. |
