Does anyone use these on a bolt action rifle? I'm looking at the LaRue rings but what else have you used with good luck? Return to zero would be a "must". Pics would be awesome if you have them.

I'm trying to decide if this is worth it. Trying to maximize real estate in the safe, ease of transport, etc. I've had good luck with the QD style mounts on my AR platforms and don't see why it wouldn't translate over to this.

I wouldn't recommend it.  I love larue stuff and have a bunch of their AR mounts, but I run rings on my bolt guns. They don't move much at all but you may or may not notice at long ranges depending on ability and target size

If you are serious about precision accuracy, use a quality set of rings that aren't QD.

If you have an absolute "need" (not just a want or "it would be cool" or easier to <whatever>) for QD, go with ADM.

I've had good luck with leupold QRW rings on hunting rifles  and 22 rimfires, and they return to zero or close to zero.  I wouldn't entertain the idea of putting then on a precision bolt gun you may only be a smidge off......but you're off and that's more than you want in between your ears.

Piece of mind is worth torqued on rings.

I think an absolute return to zero with any QD rings or mounts is a tall order, from my humble experience. Anytime you take that optic off the rifle, it is damn near impossible to put it back on in the precise location (within each single rail section), with the exact same torque it was previously mounted with.

I've had an ADM mount and a LaRue mount, and though they both came close, there were always adjustments that needed to be made.

I see no issue with using it if you confirm your zero each time you shoot.

Larue on tactical applications.  On hunting bolt rifles, I've had great QD return to zero with Tally steel QD rings and bases. (Levers are on the other side).

I ended up with an ADM mount that will sit on a RPR once it comes in. I need 1.4+" clearance for the optic and didn't like the look of standard rings. It is also a budget minded rifle, so a Spuhr mount was out of the question. SO I ended up picking up an ADM AR10/SCAR Delta mount. I won't be using the QD feature, I just like the 1 piece base design and needed the AR height.

I've got a Larue 104 on my RPR. Not sure why I'd need to go out and buy fixed rings.

I have a few sets of Warne QD rings and never had a problem.

I like my Larue rings. I set them a little tighter thsn Larue recommends. Todd Hartnet recommends setting them to engage at 60 degrees instead of 45, and I think that is a best practice.

Always push the scope forward when you tighten the levers or you will see a slight zero shift.

When you set your levers, open and close them 10 times. Then perform a push test to ensure nothing can move.

Here is my old Bobro mount failing a push test.
