Not to open a can of worms, but has anyone had your 700 discharge when closing the bolt, or engaging the safety?  I have never had a problem with my 700P LTR, but from some forums, thinking about getting a Tinney trigger as some people with older 700s have had this happen, maybe only once, but enough to make you think.
Some say CNBC is full of it, but I have looked at other forums where multiple people have experience this dangerous incident.

X Mark Pro? I have heard conflicting opinions. I don't know if I believe that it was the cause of an AD, but I heard enough to compel me to buy a Timney.

They were recalled for that reason; were they not?

The X Mark Pro was supposed to be the solution, but that trigger had problems too, and they had an official recall of those rifles made between 2006 and 2014 which had the XMP trigger.  I have seen no official recall of the millions of older M700 that had the Walker Trigger.

I have a rifle that is now about twelve years old discharge on bolt closing after a "professional" trigger job. I put a Timney in it before shooting it again.

It's happened to me with a Walker trigger that had some debris in it.

I've also adjusted Timneys and Walkers to where the firing pin would fall when I closed the bolt too hard.

Never have shot one that way of course.
