Has any one seen or know anythimg about the savage 11VT at Dicks Sporting goods? The price point is about 450$ that is in .308 and comes with a scope. Is this a good package to get started with for long range?

I have one in .223, it is a great little gun. the stock is a little more flexible than I'd like but it is serviceable.
the scope will get you through until you can upgrade but it is fine for getting you going. I got a good deal on a SWFA x10 on the EE and moved the package scope (barska 3-14 I think) to a Savage MarkII. If you are OK with getting a line of credit from dicks, you cna te an additional 10% off and 6 months no interest. |
