Finally, after many months of searching I received a shipping notice for the Savage FLCP-SR that I've been wanting and looking for since last summer. And now I need help in picking a scope for it. It will primarily be used in predator liquidation and some whitetail hunting. Vortex Optics has my attention but there any numerous models and features.

 Advise.

Biggest factor will be your budget.

For Vortex optics answer:
FFP or SFP?
MOA or Mrad?
Any special reticle?
magnification range?
Illumination or None?
Exposed turrets or capped?

I personally prefer FFP. I just picked up a 4-16x-50 PST FFP Mrad. It will live on a precision rifle/hunting rifle. So I wanted some low magnification with a little more magnification for range work. I always prefer illumination because sometimes it helps seeing the reticle in different lighting and background situations. I like FFP because the reticle is always true to size vs the sight picture.

I just got my FLCP-SR and love it.

I too was looking for a scope and am going to go with a Vortex Viper PST 6-24 FFP. And that's what everyone recommended to me.

Have you shot your rifle yet?

I was finally able to see the right handed version (FCP-SR) in person over the weekend and it was really nice. I cannot wait until tomorrow when mine arrives at the bow shop.

I would prefer capped turrets, illumination doesn't matter that much to me, magnification range would probably be a 14x, I have no idea on the reticle and would like MRAD.
