I've been toying with the idea of building a shorty 300WM for some time, but honestly, haven't done a lot of research on barrel lengths until recently. The below picture is a rifle built by Spartan Rifles that was featured in the Fall 2014 SF "Combat Tactics" magazine - so it re-kindled my interest.
This rifle has a 20" Carbon Fiber barrel. If/when I build, it will be shot primarily suppressed with a SF can, so I am interested in going as short as I can and still utilize the round effectively to 1k+. My question is - anyone else out there have 20" or shorter 300WM rifles? Show and tell me about what you have and what you would have done different (if anything).
