| Do a google search and a bunch of different thread protectors come up. The Rem is 5/8-24 so just get one that is long enough to cover the muzzle. Another option is contacting a rifle smith and having him make you one that is long enough to fit your needs if you can't find one commercially. |

I own one as well. Don't want to derail the thread, but in short? Great rifle to start with. Nice barrel length, barrel twist, etc. it's only short comings are the soft stock and the trigger. The trigger isn't horrible but, you can do better for relatively low cost. If you plan on shooting suppressed its a great platform to save a few bucks. |

It is what it is. Biggest complaint is trigger and stock. I had a chassis system I came into, so stock is gone. Trigger is probably my next upgrade. I personally don't like the finish, as the cycling action is a bit rougher than other finishes, but I will probably get my bolt fluted for Christmas and have it cerakoted which will solve that issue too. |
