Are they still the gold standard for 700's? And which one is recommended and what weight of the trigger pull?

Just bought a Timney Calvin Elite. Set it to 2lbs. They offer it in single and double action. Beautiful trigger pull.

Timney, makes great Triggers and they have a number of options for the 700. The Calvin Elite line is a more recent addition and nice upgrade. They come in single and two stage variants and can be safely set to low pull weights.

My personal preference is the Calvin Elite Two Stage with an 8oz first stage and 16oz 2nd stage.

Timney makes a solid trigger. Have used them over the years and just dropped another in my .223 to replace a horrible Rem trigger. I like the single stage versions.

I use a 510 in both of my rifles. I think the Calvin Elite is a more match/bench oriented type trigger.

I got the Timney. Installation was less than five minutes. At the range yesterday, it was a night and day difference from factory to the Timney. My groups even closed up by a fair margin.

Elitetactical components i've bought a few of them from here. the 510, and the Winchester model 70 trigger..

you get them with the factory advertised pull which i believe is 3lbs. IF you buy it directly from Timney you can choose your weight!

you can adjust them yourself but i don't like tinkering with any trigger whatsoever

Love Timney!! Never had an issue with any of mine thus far. 510, 517, 667st, (2)667s, and just ordered the Clavin elite straight shoe lh yesterday...kind of a Timney fanboy.

I replaced my recalled Remington trigger with a Timney and zero regrets.
MUCH nicer trigger and glass rod crisp.

I will say i just ran my two stage calvin elite in a 2 day PRS match and a shot about 180 rounds, and had zero issues.

Saturday was wet and there was mud and sand all over my stuff and i had zero issues with it.

I have a 512 set at 1lb 9 oz. I love it.
