I have had two Diamondbacks and loved both of them. I am setting up a Hoghunter in .308 and want to pick a low weight scope with the best glass and price I can get. I have a Redfield 2-7 on my .223 Wylde that is very light, but I wonder about its long-term durability. With the Vortex Warranty, I don't have to worry about that as much. I really do not see myself shooting beyond 400 yards. It would be rare, but would like to think I could if I had to. Mostly this rifle will be for hunting deer out to about 100-200 yards.
I was going to order a 3-9x40 as I've had it before and loved it. But was also looking at the HP in 3-12x42. It's about 100 bucks more. Anyone have any opinions as to whether the 100 bucks is worth it given my use? |
