| I've got an older T36 I want to try on a DPMS .308 Win. Anybody ever try that and did the scope survive? I'm worried about the bolt slamming home and don't know if that forward impulse would destroy the scope. Opinions? |
| I don't use either rifle so I can't speak to them. I do use a T24 on a match rifle. It's got several 10's of thousand rounds fired under it on everything from magnums to milds. It's a very well made scope for target purposes and I don't think an AR platform is going to be an issue as far as durability. God knows mine's been knocked around a bit and not suffered. I use a 36x on a match .22 and should note that the T36 has a just incredibly small exit pupil and is difficult for many shooters; especially relatively new shooters, to use. Even 24x fixed power is a little finicky about noggin position and cheek weld but 36x is much worse. |
