empty hitting turret

On my Ruger 1022, my empty brass is hitting the new scope turret. Fix this now? Or no big deal on a 22? FYI I really like the position it's in and don't want to change it.

You may want to see if your ejector is causing the cases to eject high. I don't think I've ever had one that ejected high enough to hit the scope turret.

Get a rubber band (or a slice of bicycle inner tube) and slip it over the turret. The turret will still be movable but will cushion the impact and it's removable without leaving behind nasty tape residue.
