| I have a savage model 16 that is putting extractor marks on the brass. Small mark on each fired case that looks to me like the extractor. Had the head space checked by gunsmith and it checked out fine, his words were it was about prefect. Bolt opening is a little stiff but not bad, rechambering a fired round closing the bolt is a little stiffer than a unfired round. Primers are slightly flattened but not more so than any of my 308's. It does this with winchester 180 grain power max bonded and federal 180 grain power points. Any ideas what's causing it? Is it safe to fire? |
