Trying to figure out this post, but we had to put Addi down the last day of November....as they say "Fuck Cancer"

Her last retrieve at one of my favorite hunting spots

I remember my previous dog's last pheasant. He was feeling his 15 years and had a hard time bulling through the brush, but dammit, he was on a hot scent and he was going to find that bird no matter what. He flushed the rooster into the brilliant morning sunlight and it looked like the cover of a Field and Stream magazine. It was so beautiful I  almost didn't shoot. But I did shoot because he never would have forgiven me it I had not shot that pheasant after all of his effort to hunt it. That was our last bird together.

I'm sure you have similar memories of Addi. That dog will live as long as you live.

Thanks, man!  It does not get easier the older you get, no question.  Now, do I keep the thread alive with Ellies "adventures" I know that @buckshot_jim can't have all the yellow lab fame on here

Oh man, I'm so sorry. There's not much as bad as losing a good dog.

Fine then, here is a photo dump of here from the 23' season.  This was Cooper the chocolates (Sages brother) first year, it was neat to see how he advanced thru the year.

The year was a rollercoaster from warm weather to rain that just wouldn't stop, record high water on the lake and more.  11 bands in the boat was a nice added bonus for us.

Home from school on a whistler hunt

Last hunt of the season, day before new years, done in 20 minutes.  The dogs were watching a bunch dump into the decoys with us standing there
