Chatterbaits were killing it this weekends. Black and blue with Rage bug trailer and bluegill with watermelon rage bug.

I did manage to break off one of my $20 jackhammers due to a totally avoidable backlash.

Taking my son to choke canyon this weekend... hopefully we’ll catch something.

Work and a dead crank battery have screwed my fishing for a while. I’m ready to go....

Nothing but runts this weekend, but 7 in the first 35 minutes. Pics are indicative of average size...no hawgs this outing.

Yum Dinger either Green Pumpkin or Watermelon Seed Texas Rig. Lots of summer grass so both were working really well. Told the kids "one more" and can't recall what I caught it with.

Including the biggest blue gill I've ever seen (7 year old caught) we ended up with 26 in all before it got too hot. 3/4 were perch but a few decent LM.

I caught four tonight at the local creek on a Ned rigged half of a 5" green pumpkin Senko.  Small creek, small fish, but it's fun on an ultralight rod with 4 lb line.  My daughter got one on a Nikko waxworm.

Use live bream hooked in the back.

Cut the gut or clip the tail.

Use a balloon as a bobber with a few feet of leader.

HANG ON!

The bigger the bait-  the bigger the catch!

I've been catching a lot of largemouth using a size 75 Whopper Plopper in Loon color and a 1/4 oz Megabass Dark Sleeper in Haze color.  Caught this nice 2.75# this morning.  I don't have boat so I fish a lot of public boat ramps and parks on the two lakes in my area.

I fish about every night its not raining in a smallish pond. Pink trick worms and watermelon Dingers wacky rigged get me an average of three or four an hour day in and day out. They would probably eat a thick rubber band if I threw it at them.

VMC 1/0 wide gap hook on 8 pound braid with 8 pound fluorocarbon leader and a St. Croix Mojo Bass 6'8 Medium Extra Fast makes smallish bass a lot of fun.
