Tried to make easy mac on the road with boiling water. Didn't cook all the way and ended up a mess.

Is there something better and easy?

they're not instant ramen cup noodles, you have to keep them hot for a while....

you mean the little tub you add water to and put in the microwave? i guess if you had a pot you could cook it like normal mac. other than that no idea. if you only have boiling water try the ramen cups. all you do is boil the water and add it to the cup and close the lid.

Easy Mac is the perfect camping food.      I set it up on my sterno stove to boil the water and it works out great.    I'm not sure how it didn't work for you.

Ramen is ok, but gets old after awhile. Mac and cheese is always good for something different. There are some good ramen and other noodle dishes to try. There is a noodle dish with two packets you add during the making that are really good. Can't remember the name, but comes in a rectangular bowl. My daughter got mad because I ate one at home and didn't buy her one too.

Poured boiling water in it and stirred it. Maybe the original container is the problem since you can't set it on the burner. I need a small cooking cup for this kind of stuff.

Pour hot water over the noodles then find something to do for the next 30 - 60 minutes.......

Try the "microwavable" individual serving size packets.  They cook faster.

Honestly I've never read the directions...    I have a little mess kit that I take camping that I just cook the noodles in the water until it boils for a little while, like the regular mac & cheese.    I'd imagine you need to let the noodles cook a little longer.

Damn now I'm going to have to make some M&C for lunch, it's sounding good.
