I've got the dual band version. The squelch will drive you crazy in urban areas on it unless you have a receive tone on. Wonder if the tri band will be like that.

There's a tantalizing phrase on some of the descriptions of the newish TYT quad band (10/6/2/440) radio, that 220 is also available... don't know if that means in addition to, or substituting for one of the other bands.  A 10/6/2/220/440 radio would almost be a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

If a 10/6/2/220/440 radio exists for less than $400, it belongs in my shack. Right now.

ETA: I just realized that it won't do SSB, so, yeah, I want it a little less, but still... I like the idea of a five band radio in the shack for all the FM nonsense.

I've stopped wasting my breath asking for a new manufacture 2m/220/430 all mode radio.

That's what was a wet blanket for me too. It's too bad because that would be a really interesting radio with ssb.

For the price, I may get it anyhow as it is still inexpensive for even a dual bander.

I want the FTM10SR to return...in a 10/6/2/220/440 or a 6/2/220/440/1240 format. I'll immediately buy 5 of the things for my various motorcycles if it does.
