Anyone have experience with these?

I'm really interested in ordering the OT Core chassis and attaching a xlr stock.

Seems like a pain in the ass to find a dealer, other than from their Canadian store

Do not order through drake associates. The fucktards screwed my order up. I ended up getting mine through the Canada after the ceo of cadex contacted me after my complaint. I have the same chassis you want. It's friggin awesome. You won't regret it. There is a thread on 10t 6.5 creedmoor here you can see mine. Doesn't have my new vortex but will give you a idea. I love this chassis. I have a magpul prs on mine but thinking of putting a Luther butt stock on it.

Placed my order through Drake. Didn't hear anything for 3 weeks. When I called him, sounded like a BS blow off but said it will ship on time (6 weeks). I decided to contact cadex. Found out he didn't place the order. Was told he has done this before. I sent drake a pretty nasty email and canceled my order. Got a call from either the CEO of next one down asking if I would reconsider and they would deal with drake. I passed but they called me back next day to make a me a sweet deal to keep my order. I kept the order. The magpul works great but makes it look like a boat ore. I needed a 20 MOA rail so I could dial to 1000 yards with the scope I had. 0 MOA rail that comes with the rifle works if you have a scope with plenty if range to dial. I did have to trim the rail for the chassis to fit. Dremel to the rescue.

Cadex chassis systems are awesome, I have a few of them and I can't say enough good things about them.

I would love to get my hands on the Remington RACS for a comparison.  As I understand it, Cadex helped Remington design their chassis system.

I have an XLR Industries Carbon chassis for one of my Savages and I'd wish I'd saved my money and got a Cadex chassis instead of the XLR unit.

Sorry, I don't have the exact height, they came with the Razor but the rings are Vortex Precision Match rings for a flat top.

Hope that helps :(

For those that own these: What do you think of the how the tube mounts to the chassis portion? It looks to me like the two brackets on the sides hold it on and I'm not sure how solid that is. Is there any flex at that joint? What are the brackets made of?

I think the Cadex chassis is the best looking chassis made and am considering one to replace my X-ray.

The two pieces that hold the tube is solid. Zero slop. Torqued to spec and your gtg. I have no regrets getting mine.

Just a FYI, the savage ashberry will be released soon (supposed to anyways).

Before I ordered my cadex chassis, I researched to find others who put one on a savage to ask questions. When I had the right info, then I ordered. As far as your rail being glued, thats on tikka, not cadex. Cadex just started not long ago selling chassis's to commercial market. Most of there business is military. Anytime your messing with the rail screws, these little bastards strip easy. You use locktite and screw in just enough pressure to seat the screw. I messed one up on my savage. chalk it up to a learning experience and drive on.

A lot of people were running into issues with the factory rail on their Savage 10TRs (nothing to do with Cadex), so apparently this happens with more than just a few manufacturers.  Some guys were lucky (like me) where the rail screws came out easily, others had to use heat guns to loosen up the loctite or whatever they use at the factory.

Link Posted: 9/15/2016 4:20:36 PM EDT
[#26]
I had to shave off a little of the rail to make it fit on my 10T. Practiced with the original so when my 20 MOA rail came in, I knew how much to trim off. Cadex chassis's are solid and would recommend them to anyone. Just have to do your homework first to see what needs to be done to make it fit.

Kind of off topic but what type of rubber over mould pistol grip do they use? I was handling a Cadex chassis at the range and that is the AR pistol grip I want to use if I ever put one on a precision rifle build.

Oh and the owner said he loved the chassis. You can probably get them for 25% off the Canadian proce with the low dollar.

What caliber is your rifle? Was looking over your chassis on cadex web site. From what I read, you can use your mags but not sure. I see there is options for different magazines but of course it costs more. Weird your having mag issues.

There are multiple posts on Snipershide about Magpul AICS magazines not working with Tikka rifles unless modified so that may the issue.  Factory Accuracy International or Accurate Mag AICS magazines seem to function fine though.

I know that since I used my magazines from my 10T 308 in my 10T 6.5 creedmoor before I changed the chassis. There site seems very specific on calibers but you would think it should work.
