We had some absolutely stunning weather move through yesterday and I managed to take some photos of my neighbor's yard while the sun was going down.  Just the sheer amount of cumulonimbus(?) clouds, the light, and everything else was something I don't think I've ever seen in all my years.  Then later we were blessed with some amazing lightning, but I didn't get to my photo spot in time.  Oh well.  This is the shot that came pretty much out of camera.  The only edits I've done was darkening the sky slightly and lightning the trees.  The contrast was added to match what I saw.  I'll probably go back and edit out the light pole and radio towers at some point, but I'm exhausted.  I've got a timelapse on the way as well.  Once it renders, I'll post it.

Great long exposure shot, but the lens (pincushion?) distortion on the sides is a bit distracting. Did you attempt to correct it?
I started out wondering why the star trails had different curves...

No I didn't.  I noticed it, but kinda liked how the trails had different curves.

Just posting a test shot from a new lens; I have been without a mid range zoom since dunking my last one in a river. Based on reviews, I picked up a Sigma 17-50 2.8 EX DC OS HMS to fill the void. While not as good as my Macro lens for bugs, I am pretty pleased with the results so far.
